The Role

We are looking for developers at all levels: from graduates through to principle engineers. Technology is at the heart of our business. Our development team has a high degree of autonomy and everyone is afforded the flexibility and opportunity to be closely involved in architecture, design and technology choices. We want bright, motivated people, who demonstrate initiative and solve problems quickly.

As a Developer you will be expected to:

  • Participate in the full agile software development lifecycle
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
  • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
  • Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards

As a Senior Developer you will also be expected to:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex user stories in novel areas of the software
  • Contribute to the architectural direction of Videris
  • Mentor more junior colleagues

As a Tech Lead you will also be expected to:

  • Take responsibility for managing one of our scrum teams
  • Participate in release planning and management activities including high-level estimation
  • Responsible for the architectural direction of key component

The Technology

Our platform, Videris, is a thick client front-end talking to a a set of backend micro-services. The majority of our codebase is written in C# and Typescript / Node.JS. We make use of WPF and Angular in our front-end and you’ll also need to be familiar with some of the back-end components in our technology stack. We’re talking MongoDB, SQL Server, ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ. We package our micro-services using Docker (running under Linux) and use Kubernetes to orchestrate their deployment. Oh, and we use Git for source control, Artifactory for storing artefacts and Jenkins pipelines to build our software.
